Discussing everything the most distinctive stamp the
U.S. ever issued (the $1.00 "Cattle in Western
Storm" stamp of the 1898 Trans-Mississippi Issue) to
the contest won by a teenager to select the design
for the 1938 Presidential Series, Donald Sundman and
Janet Klug unveiled their new book, "The 100
Greatest American Postage Stamps," at a special
seminar at the National Postal Museum in Washington,
D.C.
The event, which drew a packed house on the Museum's
ground floor, included a special autograph session
following the lecture. Sundman, president of Mystic
Stamp Company, and Klug, former president of the
American Philatelic Society, offered the crowd a
full color PowerPoint presentation to show off their
entire selection of the greatest U.S. stamps in
history.
The book is published by
Whitman Publishing Co., at $29.95 and may be
